Amgen is a multinational pharmaceutical company focused on bio-pharmaceuticals, with a concentration on molecular genetics driven pharmaceutical solutions.
The Challenge
Protogen were tasked with assessing and restructuring Amgen’s Microsoft ELT (extract transform load) and Cognos (sales and performance management systems) environments.
Amgen were heavily focused on understanding and collecting their channel sales data (hospital sales) and wanted to implement a new system that managed all multi-dimensional reporting.
The Solution
Protogen provided Amegn with a second-generation data-analysis, having initially implemented a first-generation platform that Protogen made significant improvements to.
The final product built by Protogen and in conjunction with Amgen’s third party data providers CSL and IMS Health, was a complete system integration of their CRM and ERP systems, providing end-to-end sales performance management.
